Information Lemvia handles

Lemvia handles the text or screen region you deliberately submit for translation or OCR; settings and language choices; local history; license and subscription identifiers; hosted-character usage; and information you send when requesting support.

The website may receive ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and security signals through its hosting infrastructure. Lemvia does not sell personal information or use your translation content for advertising.

Google Analytics 4 receives cookieless measurement signals while analytics storage is denied. In that state, it does not read or write analytics cookies. If you allow optional analytics cookies, Google Analytics also receives website usage information such as page views, approximate location, browser and device details, and interaction data. Advertising storage stays disabled, and you can change your choice through the cookie preferences control below.

Data kept on your Mac

Translation history and app settings are stored locally on your Mac. Compatible third-party API credentials are stored in macOS Keychain. You control local history through Lemvia and can remove the application and its local data from your Mac.

macOS permissions are used only for the visible capability that needs them: Accessibility for selected text and replacement, Input Monitoring for the configured shortcut, and Screen Recording for the region you frame for OCR.

Translation and OCR processing

Local actions stay on your Mac. When you choose Lemvia Cloud, the submitted text and translation options are sent to Lemvia’s Cloudflare-hosted API and processed by the active cloud route. Lemvia’s application code does not write translation source text or results to its durable quota and license stores.

When you use a compatible API key, the request is sent to the provider you selected and is governed by that provider’s agreement with you. OCR uses macOS frameworks on your Mac unless the interface explicitly identifies another route.

Licensing, billing, and quota data

Lemvia stores the minimum records needed to deliver and protect an entitlement: product and license identifiers, subscription state, activation instance, a protected device or license subject, usage counters, credit grants, and refund or dispute adjustments.

Dodo Payments is the Merchant of Record and receives payment details, billing contact information, tax information, and transaction records. Lemvia does not receive your complete card number. Dodo sends Lemvia the transaction and entitlement information needed to fulfill, restore, suspend, or refund a purchase.

Why information is processed

Information is processed to provide translation and OCR; register Free usage securely; activate and restore purchases; measure plan quotas; prevent fraud and abuse; deliver signed updates; answer support requests; maintain service security; and comply with legal obligations.

Where consent is required, you can withdraw it for future processing. Other processing may be necessary to perform a purchase or provide a feature you requested, protect the service, or comply with law.

Service providers and destinations

Cloudflare hosts the Lemvia website, API, security controls, usage ledgers, and hosted inference route. Dodo Payments handles checkout, tax, invoices, subscriptions, refunds, and payment support as Merchant of Record. Apple provides macOS platform services used by the app.

A compatible API provider receives content only when you choose that route. Providers may process information in other countries under their own privacy terms and legally recognized transfer mechanisms.

Google provides website measurement using Consent Mode. With analytics storage denied, it receives cookieless measurement signals and cannot read or write analytics cookies. Lemvia keeps advertising storage disabled and does not enable Google signals or advertising personalization.

Retention and security

Local history remains until you delete it. License, subscription, quota, fraud-prevention, and transaction-linked records are kept for as long as needed to operate the service, honor or enforce entitlements, resolve disputes, meet tax or accounting duties, and protect against abuse. Support correspondence is retained only as long as reasonably needed for the request and related obligations.

Lemvia uses signed application builds and updates, encrypted network transport, macOS Keychain for API credentials, scoped service tokens, server-side entitlement checks, and restricted provider credentials. No system can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can use local features without submitting text to Lemvia Cloud, choose a compatible provider key, clear local history, remove permissions in macOS Settings, cancel a subscription, and request support for license recovery or account-linked data.

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email support@lemvia.app from the relevant purchase or support address so the request can be verified.

Children and policy changes

Lemvia is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. A higher minimum age may apply where local law requires parental consent.

This policy may change when the product, providers, or legal requirements change. The current version and update date remain published here. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
