Terms of Use
These Terms are written to describe the product people actually use. Billing is handled by Dodo Payments as Merchant of Record; product access and support are provided for Lemvia under the Quartz brand.
Acceptance and eligibility
These Terms govern your use of Lemvia, its website, desktop software, hosted translation route, licensing services, and related support. Lemvia is a Quartz product. By downloading, purchasing, or using Lemvia, you agree to these Terms.
You must be legally able to enter into this agreement. If you use Lemvia for an organization, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that organization.
Your software license
Quartz grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use Lemvia on Macs you control, subject to the plan and device terms shown when you purchase or activate it.
You may use Lemvia for personal and commercial work. You may not resell access, share or publish a license key, bypass entitlement or quota controls, use Lemvia to operate an unauthorized service bureau, or reverse engineer the software except where applicable law expressly permits it.
Free, Lifetime Pro, and Cloud Plus
Free includes the features and hosted character allowance shown on the current Plans page. Lifetime Pro is a one-time software license for the local Pro features described at purchase; it does not include an unlimited right to paid cloud compute. Cloud Plus is a recurring service that includes Pro features while the subscription is active and the hosted character allowance shown for its billing period.
Character packs add hosted translation capacity to the eligible license or device. Plan features, reasonable technical limits, and compatibility requirements may change as Lemvia evolves, but changes do not remove rights already required by applicable law.
Billing and subscriptions
Dodo Payments acts as Merchant of Record for Lemvia purchases. Dodo processes payment details, invoices, applicable transaction taxes, renewals, and refunds. The merchant name on your receipt or statement may therefore refer to Dodo Payments and Quartz.
Subscriptions renew for the selected monthly or yearly period until canceled. You can manage renewal from the customer portal or the subscription-management action in Lemvia. Canceling prevents the next renewal; access normally continues through the paid period. See the Refund Policy for refund eligibility.
Your content and translation results
You retain your rights in the text, images, prompts, API credentials, and other material you provide. You grant Lemvia and the selected service providers only the limited permission needed to process your request, deliver the result, secure the service, and comply with law.
Machine translation and OCR can be incomplete or wrong. Review results before relying on them for legal, medical, financial, safety-critical, or publication decisions. You are responsible for having the right to process the content you submit.
Acceptable use
Do not use Lemvia to violate law or another person’s rights; distribute malware; probe, disrupt, or overload the service; evade plan limits; automate abusive traffic; or process content when you lack authority to do so. We may limit or suspend hosted services when reasonably necessary to protect users, providers, or the service.
Third-party services
Lemvia can use macOS capabilities, Dodo Payments, Cloudflare infrastructure, and compatible API providers you choose. Those services have their own terms and privacy practices. Your use of a provider-controlled API key is also governed by your agreement with that provider.
Updates, availability, and support
Lemvia requires a supported version of macOS and may receive signed updates through its update channel. Hosted features can occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, provider outages, security events, or circumstances beyond our control. We may change or discontinue a hosted feature with reasonable notice when practical.
Support is available at support@lemvia.app. Do not send private source text, passwords, complete payment-card details, or API keys.
Disclaimers and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lemvia is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties that every translation, OCR result, provider response, or integration will be accurate or uninterrupted. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties, remedies, or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Quartz is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from Lemvia. Any aggregate liability relating to a paid service is limited to the amount you paid for that service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Lemvia at any time. We may suspend hosted access for material breach, fraud, chargeback abuse, security risk, or unlawful use. Where reasonable, we will explain the issue and provide a way to contact support. Sections that by their nature should survive termination—including ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, and liability limits—will survive.
Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect product, legal, or operational changes. The current version and its effective date will remain on this page. Material changes apply prospectively unless law requires otherwise.
