Managed translation and local features are different products
Free includes core local workflows and a small hosted allowance. Lifetime Pro is a one-time license for advanced local workflows. Cloud Plus is a recurring managed service that includes Pro features while active and provides a larger hosted character balance.
This separation is why a Lifetime Pro owner can continue using a compatible API key without buying Cloud Plus, and why a Cloud Plus subscriber does not need to buy Lifetime Pro separately. The Plans page is the source of current prices and allowances.
The route determines where translation text goes
Local history and settings remain on the Mac. A network translation request sends the source text to the selected route. Lemvia labels the route so users can distinguish a managed Lemvia request from a request made with their own provider account.
The current managed route uses Cloudflare infrastructure. Cloudflare’s Workers AI data-usage documentation states how customer content is handled and distinguishes processing from optional storage services. Lemvia does not claim that a third-party provider follows Lemvia’s policy when a user chooses that provider directly.
Direct answers
Is cloud translation the same as AI translation?
Cloud describes where the translation request is processed; AI describes the model or service performing it. Lemvia presents one managed cloud route rather than two separate “cloud” and “AI” purchase choices.
Does BYOK consume my Lemvia character balance?
No. The compatible provider bills or limits that request under the account attached to your API key.
Does Cloud Plus include Lifetime Pro?
Yes. Every Lifetime Pro feature is included while the Cloud Plus subscription remains active.
